Jalukie veterinary college conducts awareness prog., animal health camp

DIMAPUR — The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Jalukie organised a one-day awareness programme on conservation and an animal health camp on Thursday at Jalukie-B village in Peren district.

According to an update, the programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. I. Shakunkala, dean of the college. Faculty members from the departments of LPM, AGB, and LFC of the college organised the programme.

It was funded by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources.

During the programme, experts from the departments briefed participants on scientific management practices for goat and poultry husbandry, as well as various scientific conservation methods.

A total of 123 participants attended the programme. All participants were provided with deworming kits and feed supplements.
