Tuensang, July 21 (EMN): A book titled ‘Khanshoulitshou’ written by Changson Chang was released by Rev. Achu Chang, executive secretary of Chang Baptist Lashong Tuensang (CBLT) at CBLT Resource Center in Tuensang town on July 20.

‘Khanshoulitshou’ meaning ‘stars’ was published by Penthrill Publication. The book is Chang’s debut book of poetry. She is currently teaching English at Government Higher Secondary School in Tuensang town.

In the author’s note, Chang expressed how she found escape through writing, especially poetry.

“It provided me a space to be myself, gave me peace and solace,” she said.

Speaking at the book release event, Rev. Achu mentioned how the media culture has altered everything in this modern world. 

“We live in this era of quick fix. The importance of reading book has been diminishing. We need to cultivate the habit of reading more,” Rev. Achu said.

He added that ‘Khanshoulitshou’ is a definition of creative mind turning into creative writing.”

The event was chaired by O Akum.
