Kohima Law College observes World Consumer Rights day

Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): Kohima Law College observed World Consumer Rights day on March 14 as an annual event. Updates from the professor in-charge informed.
Professor-in-charge who is also the president NVCO, Kezhokhoto Savi in his keynote address said celebrating the day is a chance to demand that the rights of consumers are respected and protected and to protest against market abuses and social injustices which undermine those rights.
Savi said this year theme, “Making digital marketplaces fairer” where on March 15, consumers international is calling for fairer digital marketplaces.
“We are calling for access to fair and secure internet for all, action against scams and fraud, and better consumer protection online,” he informed.
Short presentation on ‘Consumer Rights and Food Safety’ and ‘How GST affects the consumers’ prepared by assistant professors Moasenla and Limanochet Jamir respectively were given by LL.B students Menesieno, Jevitoli Sumi and Vinguse-u.
The principal of the college Visevonuo P Pienyu gave the closing remarked.
