22nd NSF MMT: Viswemi FC, Unity FC Meriema win

Kohima, Oct. 17 (EMN): Viswemi FC routed Grim FC 8-1 at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy on Monday.
Puzoto Vitsu of Viswemi FC scored four goals in the 20th, 39th, 53th 57th minutes. Kelengol Toso also made another hattrick in 36th, 58th and 90th minutes; while Kelethuto Kin scored a goal in the 43rd minute for the team to prove its mettle.
The lone goal for Grim FC was scored by Athingdang in the dying 76th minute.
Man of the match was awarded to Puzoto Vitsu of Viswemi FC, and was handed over by Swetol Sothu, 22nd NSF MMT Tournament Patron.
Whereas in the second match, the first account was opened by Vilazolie for Peraciezie Youth Organisation in the 4th minute which was equalised by Vikedoulie for Unity FC in the 14th minute. Subsequently in the second half, Vilazolie again scored another goal in the 84th minute, while Vikeduolie equalised again in the 87th minute. The match was a draw after the final whistle.
Luck favoured Unity FC as they broke the deadlock in a penalty shootout 3-2.
Man of the match was awarded to Vilazolie of Paraciezie Youth Organisation and the award was handed over by Khriezelhou Vitso , ASU Senior Leader.
Shillong Lajong FC debut match today
Shillong Lajong FC from Meghalaya will make their debut in the 22nd NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima on Tuesday.
The I-league team will take on a local team — Dzülouzou FC — in the afternoon at 1 pm. The team arrived in Kohima on Sunday morning and their match is expected to draw huge spectators.
Shillong Lajong FC squad will comprise Everbright Son, Wadajied Kynsai, Sangti Janai, Samchaphrang, Yohaan Benjamin, Sambo Oneel, Ioanis Suchen, Colin Salmon, Lihbor Lang, Gladdy Nelcen, Damolang and Atlanson
The first match for the day will be played between Phoenix C&C and Pochury Students’ Union at 11 am.
