DIMAPUR — Eleven persons were injured when the taxi (Tata Sumo) in which they were travelling met with an accident between Kidima and Viswema villages, in Kohima district, on Thursday at around 10 am.

According to Kohima police, the taxi, with eleven occupants including the driver, was en route to Kiphire from Dimapur. All the occupants including three females and eight males sustained injuries. However, there was no report of any casualty.

Two persons with serious injuries were admitted to hospital but are presently in stable condition. The others were administered first aid.

Police said the cause of accident is yet to be ascertained, though it is suspected to be owing to mechanical failure.
