DIMAPUR — The monthly DPDB meeting of Zunheboto district was held on Monday at the DC conference hall, with the DC and vice chairman, DPDB, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, chairing it.

On the occasion, the DC congratulated the winners of the recently concluded inter-departmental tournament and thanked all the departments for their cooperation. He also congratulated the District Sports Council, Zunheboto, for the successful completion of the tournament.

The agendas discussed during the meeting included the opening of new government primary schools at the recently recognised villages of Nivishe and Khuniho and the upgradation of Government Middle School Tokiye to a high school. Upon discussion and a report from the department of Education, the board approved them and decided to send them to the higher authorities for approval.

The board agreed to send the proposal to the higher authorities for approval after discussing the establishment of new sub-centres at Koiboto and Phuye villages as well as the upgrade of the Nalto Sub-Centre to a primary health centre.

The celebration of the golden jubilee of the creation of the Zunheboto district, which falls in December, was also discussed. Regarding this, the DC requested that everyone contribute in every way they can so that the jubilee celebration would be a grand one.
