S Keoshu Yimkhiung being felicitated during the Tsungkamnyo Mini Hornbill Festival at Yimkhiung Heritage Village, Mundun, on Tuesday.

DIMAPUR — Tsungkamnyo Mini Hornbill Festival was celebrated at Yimkhiung Heritage Village, Mundun, in Shamator district, on Tuesday with the advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, S Keoshu Yimkhiung, as the special guest and host.

A DIPR report stated that the president of Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC), Throngso, delivered the welcome address, while speeches were delivered by the deputy commission of Shamator, Y Chingyak, and former MLA R Tohanba.

Significance of Tsungkamnyo was highlighted by K Lakiumong, president of YGBA, while Trung Thulunso presented a special item.

The programme was chaired by Lakiumong, president of YGOA, while a cultural item was presented by Chessore village cultural troupe.

On the occasion of Tsungkamnyo, YTC awarded the Yimkhiung outstanding achievement award to T Belenso for being the first Yimkhiung scientist and being selected as soil scientist under India Science Technology and Innovation, Government of India, and to Athrong Yimkhiung for representing India in body building competition.
