DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of the Mimkut festival.

The governor, in his greetings, said the Mimkut celebration not only commemorates a bountiful harvest but also embodies the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Kuki people.

“As we come together to celebrate the blessings of the harvest, let us reflect on the values of unity, kindness and respect for one another. Let us also reaffirm our commitment to preserve and promote the diverse cultural traditions that make Nagaland a unique and harmonious state,” Ganesan said.

“I extend warm greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of Mimkut; the harvest festival. May the bond of love and brotherhood grow stronger. I wish you all a happy Mimkut and a fruitful year ahead,” Rio wrote on X.
