LOSAMI — Advisor for Civil Administrative Works Department (CAWD) and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo on Friday urged students to work hard towards their goals with seriousness, pointing out the competition if getting stiffer.

Addressing the valedictory programme of the 77th General Conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) at Losami village in Phek district, Khamo told the students to respect and bring good name to the tribe, adding that the Chakhesang are the most blessed people.

Mentioning the prevailing cut-throat competition, he asked the students to have a clear vision, adding that there is no scope for those who have educational degree but lack competency.

There is no room for backdoor appointment to government sector; competitive examination is the only way to get a government job, he said.

Khamo also urged the young people not to become a liability to the society but be as asset. Thinking is capital, enterprise is the way and hard work is the solution, he added.

Earlier in the programme, Zhonelu Tunyi, President Chakhesang Mother’s Associated (CMA), delivered greetings, while solidarity messages were shared by Luikang Luckson, President of All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), and Khriesamhalie David Mere, President of ASU.

Nüvelu Tunyi presented a song, while Litsuku Lohe ‘Zowe Keleu Eyimi’ made a special appearance during the event. A new team of CSU for the tenure 2024-2026 was elected and Pfhülo Sara will lead the student body as president.
