The WADYO Naga Wrestling Meet 2026 concluded at Sechüma village, with Neikerhezo Zhünyü winning the senior title as local wrestlers dominated both categories.

DIMAPUR — Neikerhezo Zhünyü of Sechü Zubza emerged champion in the Senior Category at the WADYO Naga Wrestling Meet 2026, organised by the Western Angami ‘D’ Youth Organisation (WADYO) at Sechüma village.
Kedizelhou Zhünyü, also from Sechü Zubza, secured the second position, while Thepfüsahu Kuotsu of Mengujuma finished third. Neikhotso Nagi of Sechü Zubza placed fourth.

In the Junior Category (Under-15), wrestlers from Sechü Zubza dominated the podium. Metseilhoukho Zhünyü claimed first place, followed by Thejasezo Sechü in second and Vikuosa Nipu in third. Kevisekho Nagi, also from Sechü Zubza, finished fourth.
The meet witnessed participation in both Senior and Junior categories and featured a series of competitive bouts.
Officials, referees and members of the organising committee oversaw the conduct of the event.
According to the organisers, the wrestling meet was held as part of WADYO’s efforts to promote traditional Naga wrestling and encourage youth participation in indigenous sports.
