Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Nagaland stretched, to cover more ULBs
DIMAPUR — The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) (Urban) in Nagaland has been extended until January 24, covering 25 more urban local bodies (ULBs) in the state.
According to an update, the VBSY Urban campaign had previously covered 16 ULBs. The extended campaign began on January 13 and has already covered Cheiphobozou Town Council in Kohima District and Meluri Town Council in Phek district.
On Monday, in Nuiland district an event was conducted at Clock Tower under Nuiland Town Council. DC Nuiland Sara S Jamir and EAC Vitoka Yepthomi attended the event as the special guest and the chairperson, respectively, while ADC and Administrator of Nuiland Town Council S Athsangla delivered the welcome address.
On-the-spot services for Ayushman Bharat/health camp, Ujjwala 2.0, PM SVANidhi, and PMJJBY/MPSBY/APY were provided to the public during the event.
Other highlights included the screening of a recorded message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM SVANidhi through the LED-mounted VBSY van, administering the Sankalp pledge, and sharing success stories by beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat.
The second event, held at the DC Office Junction in Longleng district, featured DC Longleng Dharam Raj as the special guest and MTS of Longleng Town Council Isaac P Pongshi Keikung as the chairperson.
A similar schedule was also followed at the event, and beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat and PM SVANidhi from the self-help group DAY-NULM shared their testimonies.
Following a one-day break, the next events will take place on Wednesday at Dimapur East Town Council, Tening Town Council in Peren district, and Changtongya Town Council in Mokokchung district.
