DIMAPUR — The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), which is being undertaken across the country with the goal of reaching out to the public in order to create awareness and achieve saturation of welfare schemes, arrived in villages in Tizit sub-division under Mon district on January 9.

According to a DIPR report, Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak, who attended the programme held at Old Jaboka village on the occasion, briefed the gathering on the purpose of the visit. On the same day, a campaign was also held at Jaboka for both Jaboka and Nettong villages.

Tumben P Tsanglao, SDO (C), Tizit, speaking on the occasion, emphasised the aims and objectives of VBSY. He said that VBSY is a movement aimed at achieving self-reliance and making India developed by 2047 and that the goal is to make basic amenities and essential services accessible to all targeted beneficiaries.

Other highlights of the programmes included the administration of the Vikas Bharat pledge, the screening of the PM SVANidhi IEC video, and the recorded message of the Prime Minister.

The programme also had on-the-spot registration and services, including non-communicable diseases and tuberculosis screening; Ayushman/CMHIS awareness by the medical officer of Community Health Centre, Tizit; Aadhaar updating and enrollment by Aadhaar supervisor, Tizit; and a financial literacy camp with a special emphasis on the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana and PM SVANidhi scheme by the branch manager of SBI Tizit.
