UPHC Seikhazou conducts health camp for street vendors
KOHIMA: With an objective to reach out to the vulnerable sections of the society, the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Seikhazou on Saturday organised a special outreach health camp for street vendors at Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) office complex.
Speaking to Eastern Mirror, the medical officer of UPHC Seikhazou, Dr. Bilva Yalie informed that a team of six doctors including three specialists and three general doctors along with nurses and other healthcare workers conducted the health camp.

It was informed that the health centre has been organising outreach health camps twice every month in various colonies and places in the pasts.
Mentioned maybe made here that UPHC Seikhazou is the first to get National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification in Nagaland and the Northeast region.
Facilities/ services such as consultation, free medicine after consultation, immunisation to pregnant mothers (TD) and children below 16 year, free basic laboratory services and screening, IEC and family planning with distribution of OCP and condoms were provided to street vendors and newspaper hawkers during the camp.
