KOHIMA — Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey is scheduled to visit Kohima district on a two-day tour as part of the Union government’s fortnightly visits to the North Eastern Region.
As per the official schedule, Dubey is expected to arrive in Kohima on Saturday afternoon. He will then proceed to Rusoma village, where he will inspect agriculture and allied activities, healthcare facilities, schools, drinking water supply, roads, electricity infrastructure, and ongoing development works.
Later in the evening, a formal interaction programme will be held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Kohima. During the programme, the minister will interact with district heads of offices, senior officials, tribal leaders, and representatives of civil society organisations. A cultural programme will also be organised in his honour.

On the morning of January 11, the minister is scheduled to visit the Kohima War Cemetery, Kohima Ridge Eco Park, and the Kohima Smart City multi-level parking facility at PR Hill before departing in the afternoon.
In view of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has directed concerned officers to prepare presentations for the evening programme. Presentations will be made by the CEO of Kohima Smart City Development Limited on the implementation of Smart City projects, the Chief Medical Officer, District Agriculture Officer, District Education Officer, executive engineers from PHED (Urban), Water Resources, PWD (Roads and Bridges), and the Power department, the District Tourism Officer, representatives from ITI on skill development, and the Lead District Manager on financial inclusion.
