Training on low-cost teaching aids held in Kohima

DIMAPUR — Breeze Women Welfare Association (BWWA), Nagaland, held a training-cum-workshop on low-cost/no-cost teaching aids at G Rio School, Kohima, on December 2.

According to a press release, the training was part of a series of training programmes being held at various locations in Nagaland’s four districts, which began on November 24 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nihokhu.

The training on low-cost/no-cost teaching aids is an initiative of BWWA under the guidance of its president, Ani Yepthomi. It aims to motivate teachers and students to actively engage in teaching and learning through the use of low-cost teaching and learning aids.

The programme was facilitated and supported by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with Kaziranga University, Jorhat, and ThinkTac, Bangalore.

The training programme at G Rio School in Kohima was divided into three sessions and attended by both teachers and students.

The training featured a session on low-cost/no-cost teaching aids by Bipul Sangma, Nabi Hassan, and Bobby Bol Zeliang, followed by a student development programme (SDP) by the manager of Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Abhijit Bharadwaj, and a workshop for students on low-cost learning aids by Pritom Routh, regional manager, ThinkTac, Bangalore.d
