DIMAPUR — The 11th edition of Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC), jointly organised by the Dimapur district administration and Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), is scheduled for December 14 to 20.

According to a press release, the district administration, led by the deputy commissioner, who is also the chairman of the DNC and the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held several rounds of meetings to ensure the carnival’s smooth operation.

It stated that due to the limited number of stalls in this year’s edition, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

In 2013, to mark 50 years of Nagaland’s statehood, the district administration first proposed the idea of organising the Dimapur Naga Council (DNC) in collaboration with Dimapur’s business community.

The carnival was initiated with the main objectives of providing the citizens of Dimapur and adjoining districts with a good time with their families and friends, giving an avenue to unemployed youth, and also promoting young local entrepreneurs.

“The carnival is purely a non-profit initiative,” it said.

For this year’s edition, registration forms will be available at The Naga Bowl Express, Bank Colony; Titan showroom, NL Road; and Save Store, Duncan Road. The last date for form submission is December 8.

The forms should be submitted at the office of the Music Channel, next to Naga Bowl Express, Bank Colony. For stall enquiries, one may contact 8837010097 or 9205868171.
