TKK observes 18th foundation day

KOHIMA — The 18th Foundation day of Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) was held at Ura Academy Hall Kohima with President of Ura Academy, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu gracing the guest of honour.

Dr Liezietsu, in his address said Ura Academy have high hope on the Tenyidie Students need to give efforts to promote Tenyidie language while expressing delight that Tenyidie is ever growing.

He viewed that there are over a hundred Naga language and stated that Tenyidie is the only language that had entered in the University Level and is in 26 years while he maintained that it will few more years for other languages to used as a subject in the university education.

The president stated the need to introspect and promote Tenyidie language among all Tenyimia community to speak while he elucidated that the Tenyimia community have evolved differently while different civilization have emerged differently.

Further he reminded the students that English Literature is one of the oldest literature and stressed on the need and essence of Drama, fiction and poetry to grow which he challenged the students to give attention to the same enriched oneself with language and for a language to grow.

Greetings was delivered by Rokovotso Meyase, first TKK president while Keviuchütuo Kuotsu, Asst Professor Oriental College enlightened the gathering, the genesis and foundation of the TKK.

The programme was chaired by Petevilie Keyho, TKK President, Those Kraho, Bible Society of India invokes God’s blessing, while special songs were presented by Dzüzienuo Yhome and BA 6th Semester students of Tenyidie Department, Kohima College Kohima.
