Thüvopisü Youth Association golden jubilee celebration, Sadar Games and Sports meet begins

Thüvopisü, Dec. 13 (EMN): Leader of Naga People’s Front (NPF) legislature party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Tuesday, challenged the sports fraternity to improve their skills and excel higher.
He was addressing the 50th Golden Jubilee celebration cum Sadar Games and Sports meet of the Thüvopisü Youth Association (TYA) at local ground, Thüvopisü village in Phek district as special guest.
Nienu said Thüvopisü village has produced prominent sportspersons at national and international levels and commended them for the feat.
He advised the youths to be disciplined and put God first, in all that they pursue in order to progress.
The senior NPF leader also told the gathering to let truth be their armour, be consistent and persevere.
Further, he also expressed delight that the Phek Assembly Constituency (AC) is picking up slowly in infrastructural development, and also told the people to uphold the legacy of the Chakhesang – integrity and stand firm on principles.
Greetings were delivered by Solomon Ritse, General Secretary Phek District Sports Association (PDSA), and Seve R Vadeo, General Secretary Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF).
Lighting of torch was done by Sezovelu Dozo, bronze medalist, 35th King’s Cup World Sepaktakraw Championship 2022 and Rükütalü Testeo, Valenülü Tetseo and Cekrotalu Khesoh were torch bearers.
The week- long event will witness nine units — Chozuba, Dimapur, Kohima, Phek, Ruso, Nasa, Tuzu, Rüzakü and Rukho — with over 500 contingents competing in various disciplines.
Earlier, the special guest unveiled the jubilee monolith and inaugurated the rostrum; released the jubilee souvenir in the presence of Additional Secretary Government of Nagaland, Razouvolie Dozo, SIRD Director, Vesato Dozo and other dignitaries and leaders of Thüvopisü village.
