DIMAPUR — As part of Hornbill Music Festival Outreach Programme, Task Force for Music and Art (TaFMA) gave away 32 laptops, 16 printers, two drum sets and four guitars to 32 beneficiaries on December 5 during a programme held at the office of Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) in Kohima.
An update from TaFMA stated that the laptops and music systems were donated by PERFIOS (India’s largest BnB Fintech Firm). It added that the beneficiary schools and homes were selected from across the state from among the empanelled music schools and needy schools.
The beneficiaries included Godwin Higher Secondary School; G Mhiasiu School; Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu; Grace Mission School, Niuland; Soul School Academy; GPS Kiza, Kiphire town; Libemo Memorial School; Christian High School, Shamator; Good Shepherd School; GMS Longra; Sacred Heart School; Baptist Higher Secondary School, Peren; Royal Foundation School; GHS New Market; GMS Lengniu, Noklak; GMS inclusive school, Lerie; Aria Music Academy; School of Music and Art; Rhapsody; Elite School of Music; Penta School of Music; Mon School of Music; Geisuo School of Music; De Operatus; Kohima Institute of Music; Jubal School of Music, Pfutsero; Tremolo Music Institute, Jalukie; Hills Theatre; Film Association of Nagaland; Nagaland College of Music & Fine Arts; Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home; and Bright Morning Star Home.
Abu Metha, advisor to the chief minister of Nagaland and chairman of IDAN, and Sabhyasachi Goswami, chief executive officer of Pefios Software Solutions, gave away the laptops and musical instruments to the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, TaFMA chairman has thanked Perfios Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; Rotary Club of Chandivali, Mumbai; Arpito Gope; and consultant of TaFMA, who were instrumental for making the noble initiative possible.
