TaFMA announces India’s biggest band battle – TICKET TO HORNBILL

KOHIMA — The 25th edition of the iconic Hornbill Music Festival is set to commence with a bang as the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) on Saturday officially announced the launch of “TICKET TO HORNBILL” – India’s biggest band battle, featuring a total prize pool of INR 4 million.

In a social media update, TaFMA revealed the details of the grand event, while expressing gratitude to the Chief Sponsor and Presenter, Shreyas Group (@shreyasgroup), along with Shreyas Live (@theshreyaslive) from Hyderabad, for their pivotal role in bringing this venture to life.

TaFMA also extended gratitude to Artist Connect (@artistconnect.in) for their unwavering support, and well as Sennheiser India (@sennheiser_in) for serving as the Audio Partner, and Coca-Cola India (@cocacola_india) for being the Official Beverage Partner.

The event, scheduled to take place from October 23 till the 26th at RCEMPA Jotsoma, Kohima, Nagaland, is expected to draw bands from across the globe.

In this regard, TaFMA has extended an invitation to all bands, encouraging them to register and participate in what promises to be an iconic band showdown.

This year’s festival is expected to experience a unique opportunity not only to compete but also to witness Nagaland, often referred to as the ‘Land of Festivals’, and to be part of the 25th Anniversary of the Festival of Festivals – the legendary Hornbill Festival.

The competition, promoted by Artist Connect and Shreyas Live, and powered by Suchindia, offers substantial rewards for the top three winners.

The first prize winner will take home a whopping INR 2 million, while the second and third winners will receive INR 1 million and INR 500,000 respectively. In addition to the cash prizes, individual prize winners will also be awarded musical instruments worth INR 500000.

With such a significant prize pool and the prestige of the Hornbill Music Festival, “TICKET TO HORNBILL” is poised to be a monumental event, attracting top-tier talent and music enthusiasts from around the world.
