Style is an option, cleanliness is not.
Project 72 Hours, a Kohima based community organizers have set a new trend in the state “painting the city clean and trendy”. The “Wall of Hope” is the talk of the town and the team has been painting the city more chic and adding more layer to the state fashion.
True to the maxim “Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world”, the team aptly adds “let’s not wait for an opportunity when we have full of brilliant ideas and limitless visions inside our unexplored brains” and they believe that everyone can give back to the community by contributing what we love doing.EASTERN MIRROR: Tell us about “Project 72 Hours”?
Project 72 Hours: Project72Hrs is a community service based where team members voluntarily contribute 72 hours to our community. The concept is to build our community by giving back and encouraging everyone to take care of our state.

EASTERN MIRROR: Your team has imprinted four eminent personalities. How was this idea conceived?
Project 72 Hours: We always wanted to paint huge portraits of interesting and inspiring people around the world. And the reason we did it there was because every morning many school students and college goers wait for their buses. Therefore we thought we could use that empty wall into an art work with meaningful concept behind the art.

EASTERN MIRROR: Tell us about the creative process that your team goes through?
Project 72 Hours: It was quite a journey for us if you talk about creative process. We never knew one day we would be making good use of the blank walls around Kohima town to showcase our interest and display our work.
The process was slow but with consistency we have come this far.
We started with cleaning and clearing garbage around Kohima town, and we still do that. But we also do few other things too to kill the monotonous schedule.

EASTERN MIRROR: What do you believe is a key element in creating a good work of art?
Project 72 Hours: Solid team work is the essential key that makes any job worth it.

EASTERN MIRROR: What are the projects in the pipeline?
Project 72 Hours: Bamboo bicycle project, Lets walk- a healthy lifestyle and more mural arts on the way…. (Hehe with lots of support and positive feedbacks from people).
