State archival exhibition inaugurated
KISAMA — Advisor of Art and Culture, Treasuries and Accounts, K Konngam Konyak, on Friday inaugurated the state archival exhibition 2023 organised by the department of Art and Culture near the World War-II Musuem in Kisama.
Visitors can get access to Nagaland state archives collection and preservation of the state’s historical records. It would assist scholars, historians, administrators, students and individuals, who want to see historical documents of the Naga people.
The archives have been created to spread awareness. It included selected public and private records, newspaper clippings, photos among others.
Meanwhile, in the painting competition, Among Venuh won the best art award and received cash prize of INR 25,000.
Consolation prizes of INR 8333 were awarded to Lanumeren Jamir, Shilu Longkumer, Mughala Swu, Mhademo Shitiri, Longu Nyuthe, Toshi Longkumer, Albert Rutsa, Rukewe Chirhah and Lonenu Davi.
