Nagaland Assembly Speaker adjourns Eighth Session of 14th NLA sine die after completing all listed legislative business successfully.

KOHIMA — Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, on Friday adjourned the Eighth Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) sine die.
Announcing the closure, he said the House had completed all listed business. The session comprised five sittings in the first phase and two in the second phase.

Longkumer expressed satisfaction with the deliberations and commended members for their active participation and conduct. He said Nagaland’s progress towards becoming a developed state, in line with the vision of a developed India by 2047, rests on an inclusive and progressive budget, and urged members to rededicate themselves to public service.
He also called on officers and departments to continue working with dedication despite challenges.
The Speaker appreciated the support of government officials, police and fire services, medical teams, the media, and the Assembly Secretariat staff for ensuring smooth proceedings.
“With no unfinished business before the House, the session is adjourned sine die,” he said.
