SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to host Saturday Night Live on May 8
Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): In a rather surprising move, Saturday Night Live (SNL) has announced that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk will be hosting the iconic TV show on May 8.
The news of his hosting SNL comes in the wake of his recent achievements. Musk’s SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule successfully completed its docking with the International Space Station on Saturday and Tesla has become the most dominant player in the EV market. Musk‘s estimated fortune is estimated at around $177 billion, according to Forbes.

Although SNL has been known to invite business executives to host its show, Musk isn’t your typical run-off-the-mill businessman. The 49-year-old business magnate has a rather large fan following with around 52 million followers and his tweets do have repercussions on the stock market. He was fined $20 million by stock market regulators for hinting that he might lead a buyout of Tesla. His tweets about Dogecoin skewed the price of cryptocurrencies overnight.
Musk has made notable appearances on shows, movies, and podcasts over the years. He smoked weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast and had a cameo in Marvel‘s Iron Man 2. He has also featured on The Simpsons, The Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon.
Elon Musk will be accompanied by singer Miley Cyrus, making her sixth SNL appearance, Entertainment Weekly reported.
