A week-long international Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on advances in machine learning, image processing and natural language processing, organised by the Information Technology department of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University, Dimapur, got underway on August 16.
DIMAPUR — A week-long international Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on advances in machine learning, image processing and natural language processing, organised by the Information Technology department of School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University, Dimapur, got underway on August 16.
An update from SET-NU stated that the programme was presided by Prof. Vijay Kumar Vidyarthi, dean of SET-NU, and inaugurated by the vice chancellor of Nagaland University, Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik.
In his speech, Prof. Patnaik appreciated the department of Information Technology for organising such programme for the first time in the School of Engineering and Technology.
He also urged the department of IT and CSE, NU, to develop projects for digitising the functioning of the Nagaland University in administration, academics, examinations, finance etc.
Prof. Sujata Dash, convener of the FDP, introduced the eminent resource persons and addressed the participants from India and abroad.
She stressed that the FDP marks a significant step towards harnessing the potential of machine learning, image processing and natural language processing, which have emerged as pivotal fields in today’s technological landscape.
Teisovi Angami has thanked the vice chancellor, dean, convener, faculty members, staff, student volunteers and participants for their support in making the FDP a success.
