Rock band Fifth Note to release debut album’s first single October 9

DIMAPUR — Fifth Note, a Kohima-based rock band set to release their debut album, ‘Here We Are,’ on December 8, will be releasing its first single and music video from the upcoming album, ‘Always Love You,’ at 6:30 pm on October 9.

The single is scheduled to release on Monday on various streaming platforms under the label of Italy-based Frontiers Music SRL, according to a press release.

Stating that the upcoming album’s inspiration is to revive rock music in Nagaland, the release mentioned that the band’s original music piqued the interest of the Frontiers label, which resulted in the band’s debut full-length album.

Fifth Note was formed in 2019 with the foundations of a Christianity-themed band, and it draws the majority of its musical influences from the secular progressive metal and classic old school hard rock genres of music.

Fifth Note, like many other bands in the genre, began by performing cover songs, including songs by labelmates Stryper and Circus Maximus, as well as bands such as Dream Theatre, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Journey, and others.

In the year 2021, the band released its original singles ‘Misfortune’ and ‘Here We Are’. It has also performed live at numerous events and programmes, as well as won several awards, gaining a significant following.

The band consists of Samuel Thapa as the vocalist, Khriekethozo Sekhose (Gugu) as the guitarist, Jubito Swu (Jubi) on the bass, Rüüvolie Kire (Avolie) on the drums, and Sheduto Kezo as the keyboardist.
