RJD plans to field 11 candidates for Nagaland election 2023

Agriculture minister of Bihar, Kumar Sarvjit, announced Senkathung Jami as the candidate for 39 Sanis A/C from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ticket during a press conference at Hotel Saramati on Saturday.

Sarvjit, who is in Dimapur to look into the party’s prospects in Nagaland, said that it is targeting to field 11 candidates for the upcoming state election, adding that the party is going to support the MLAs who were not given tickets by their former parties and others who want to join them.

Maintaining that the RJD has a clean policy that has been “very successful” implemented in Bihar, he assured to bring development to the state if the people of Nagaland vote the party to power.

While mentioning the lack of good roads and hospitals in the state, he said the party would provide jobs to one lakh youth and implement 33% reservation for women if given a chance. He added that the main focus of the party will be employment of youths, health and other sectors.

Sarvjit went in to claim that Narendra Modi promised to provide jobs to the youths when he became the Prime Minister of India, but the BJP-led government has failed to fulfill its promise.

Also speaking during the interaction with the media, National General Secretary of RJD, Bhola Prasad Yadav, claimed that the BJP would try to “finish the alliance partner (NDPP)” in Nagaland.

He also claimed that the new entrant — Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) — in Nagaland is BJP’s B-team and are contesting in the constituencies where NDPP has put up its candidates.

Alleging that the BJP ‘always tries to decimate the alliance partners or the opposition’, he called upon the other parties to unite and fight against BJP in Nagaland.
