The Gluttones is a five member alternative pop/rock, synth pop Band from Dimapur, Nagaland.
The band formed in mid September 2015 with Sholo Thong on the vocals, Nesavoyi Vese on guitars, Katovi Sumi (Alex) on the drums, Mulong Lkr on the bass and Binto Semy on the keys/synth labels their genre as “Schizophrenic pop” (also known as Schizoid pop).
The professional journey as a band for The Gluttones started since their participation at the Hornbill International Rock Contest, 2015. Though the band did not win the contest, they gained a lot of fans for their on-stage performances and have performed at various events.
They were also featured on The Northeast Today magazine three times and were even included by TNT in their list of “10 Northeast bands to be watched out in 2016”.
The song “Super Hero” is their first original single!
EASTERN MIRROR: How would you like to introduce 'The Gluttones' for those who haven't heard of you yet?
The Gluttones: We are a five piece electro /synth pop band; we also brand ourselves as a schizophrenic pop/rock band from Dimapur....we love experimenting with new sounds and genres.
EASTERN MIRROR: What is your original single “Super Hero” all about?
The Gluttones: The song “Super Hero” is the first original single, recorded at Jam Studio 11 and mixed at Element Indie Records, Dimapur. The song speaks about our fathers, who are our real life superhero and they are much stronger even without any fancy costumes.
EASTERN MIRROR: What's it like working together with different professional skills? Chemistry among the band mates.....
The Gluttones: Every band has their own share of problems and struggle. Even we do, but to be honest we are really having fun making music together. Though we all are from different genres, we have the same vision, so even our chemistry is pretty good.
EASTERN MIRROR: Your first stage performance together as 'The Gluttones'..... What was the experience like?
The Gluttones: Our first major stage performance together was at RCEMPA Jotsoma during the audition for the Hornbill international Rock contest 2015. We were a bit nervous to be honest but once we got up on the stage we really had fun, it was overwhelming, and we were selected too.
EASTERN MIRROR: List down 5 reasons why you think Nagaland, though we have so many talented musicians fail to reach the international level... (Except for just few musicians...)
The Gluttones: 1. May be the first reason can be financial weakness.
- Not knowing the basic music marketing skill.
- Networking.
- Determination, commitment and sacrifice.
- Upgrading our skills and kill our ego, stay humble.

The Gluttones: Imagine Dragons, Twenty One Pilots, Small Pools etc.
EASTERN MIRROR: Current status of the band?
The Gluttones: Currently the members are: Sholo Thong (Vocal), Nesavo Vese (Guitar), Katovi Sema (Drums),Mulong Lkr (Bass), Binto Semy (keys/synth). Currently the band is working on our new single which will be out soon.
