Rengma Hoho appeals to reinstate director of Higher Education

DIMAPUR — The Rengma Hoho (RH) has appealed to the minister of Higher Education to reinstate Dr. A Nshoga Rengma to his previous position in letter and spirit within 60 days.

The appeal was made following an assurance made by the minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, to reinstate Dr. A Nshoga Rengma to his former position, when a team of Rengma Hoho along with its affiliated organization met him at his official residence on August 31.

It mentioned that Dr. A Nshoga Rengma, a bonafide member of its community, was unceremoniously removed from his position as director of Higher Education department and placed as the OSD of Higher Education department.

In an appeal letter to the minister of Higher Education, the hoho warned that it would be compelled to take necessary steps to express its discontentment if the government fails to reinstate him within 60 days.
