DIMAPUR — Phezoucha Rhüba Youth Organisation (PRYO) of L Khel in Kohima village organised its 1st night carnival-cum-musical night from December 1 to the 10th infront of Tsieramia community building, Meralieke, till Civil Secretariat office gate.

An update from PRYO stated that the main objective of the carnival was to create a festive spirit and to promote good vibes amongst the residents of Phezoucha Rhüba. The carnival featured varieties of local and indigenous food stalls suitable for family dining and free from alcohol and gambling.

The carnival also featured musical night-cum-choral competition to promote local artistes and also give a platform for children to exhibit their talents.

The culmination programme was chaired by Kelhoungunyü Vizo, convenor of organising committee, while Swedevituo Philip, Catechist of St. Luke Church, Phezoucha, said the invocation prayer and a song was presented by Mezavinü Pucho. A short speech was delivered by the special guest and VDB secretary of Kohima village, Noumviűzolie Sachü.

It was followed with the choral competition, which was judged by Kevingulie Kevin Sote, Kelhoukhrietuo Martin Tseikha and Rülilhoukhrico Peter Rutsa.

In the choral competition, Phezoucha Baptist Church won the first position, while 4th NAP Police Baptist Church and New Capital Baptist Church won the second and third positions respectively.

Prizes were given away by the special guest.
