Spear Corps organises national integration tour for students

DIMAPUR — Spear Corps, Indian Army, has organised a 10-day national integration tour (NIT) for students from Loyala Higher Secondary School, Zakhama, Kohima district.

According to an update, Lt. Gen. HS Sahi, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, flagged off the NIT, which is scheduled to visit Kolkata, Shillong, and Guwahati, from Rangapahar Military Station in Dimapur on Wednesday.

The NIT is part of Operation Sadbhavna and includes 20 students, 15 boys and five girls, as well as three teachers.

The tour aims to give students from Kigwema, Tsisinyu, Zakhama, Mima, and Kezo villages in the Kohima district the opportunity to travel outside of Nagaland and explore historical and cultural sites in cities, as well as visit institutions of national renown.

During the tour, the students will meet dignitaries such as the governors of West Bengal and Meghalaya, as well as the Director General of the Assam Rifles. The team will also participate in activities such as sailing on a cruise on the Brahmaputra and travelling by ropeway.

The Governor of Nagaland, on December 22, will receive the NIT team upon their return to the state.
