KOHIMA — Oriental College Kohima (OCK) on Friday welcomed the new students during its 26th fresher’s day programme held at the college auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, the college’s vice-principal, Chibeni Murry, encouraged the new students to work hard with consistency stating that there is no shortcut to success. She also asked the students to aspire to become the best version of themselves and also develop a mindset to be professional in order to earn a decent living.

The keynote address was delivered by Chubanenla Imchen, dean of students’ welfare, while the welcome address was delivered by Thonchu Magh, general secretary of Oriental College Kohima Students’ Union (OCKSU) and the speech on behalf of the freshers was delivered by Vituozo Rio.

The programme was chaired by Petekhrienuo Rutsa, assistant information secretary of OCKSU and the college anthem was presented by the college choir. Kelhousenuo Kire also presented a song and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Keviratuo Jerry, assistant general secretary of OCKSU.
