DIMAPUR — As part of ‘International Year of Millet,’ the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) at Tuensang Lower Section, celebrated millet festival at the school auditorium on August 29.
A DIPR report stated that the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, attended the festival as a special guest.
The millet festival highlights included a millet recipe competition, wherein Noklak block, Chessore block, and Panso block secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively.
The event was chaired by Hongsangsonla from AC Livelihood Sangsangnyu, while the welcome address was delivered by Thrikyuse Sangtam, ADPM of Tuensang. Short speeches were also delivered by Ebou Chang, BDO of Sangsangnyu, and Tsalito, in charge of GHSS Lower section.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sepila M Sangtam, district functional specialist.
