DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has congratulated the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate and MLA (elect), Wangpang Konyak, and wished him a successful term in the service of his constituents.
In a press note, the party also expressed gratitude to the electorate of the 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency for exercising their electoral mandate during the bye-election and congratulated Wanglem Konyak, the Indian National Congress candidate, on running a ‘spirited and graceful campaign’.
“He may have come up short in the vote count, but he has won the hearts of many,” the note read.
The party also thanked the rank and file of the Congress family in the state, as well as the All India Congress Committee leaders who were involved in the campaign.
