Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): Hello Games has just dropped a trailer on their official YouTube channel showing off all the changes from the No Man’s Sky Prisms update.

The new Prisms update brings a complete visual overhaul to the entire galaxy and it will launch today, June 2, on all platforms. Hello Games says that the update will be introducing massive changes to No Man’s Sky‘s visuals.

The Prisms update introduces new lighting changes, surface light refraction, lighting effects in caves, fur on alien lifeforms, updated night sky, improved wap effects and volumetric lighting effects in ship and space station interiors.

Apart from the improved graphics, the update will also let players tame and ride flying creatures from giant caterpillars to beautiful butterfly-like organisms.

There are also a number of new features like new underground cave systems, just in case players decide to burrow underground to see what is up. The underground caves will have their own biomes and will be lit by a unique lighting system.

No Man’s Sky is also upgrading its photo mode. The new Prisms update will bring better controls for depth of field and bloom. PS5 and Xbox Series X players will have more access to detailed lighting and much-improved graphics on their systems.

Although the new update might lower the performance of GPUs, Nvidia card owners will have the option to improve performance on their systems using the DLSS feature.

The Prisms update is No Man’s Sky‘s third update this year. Hello Games had previously released the Companions update in February and the Expeditions update in April. This is promising for No Man’s Sky fans and the developer has promised more updates this year which is always a positive thing to hear.
