KOHIMA — Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Leader of NPF Legislature Party (NPFLP), Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Friday attributed disunity in the Naga society which is causing hindrance to the protracted Indo-Naga political issue and posited the need to God first.

He stated this during the grand opening ceremony of Mavericks Academy at TCP Gate Junction in Kohima.

“The need of the hour as far as Nagaland is concerned is an academy of excellence, which is broad base and not confined to education alone,” said Nienu.

He stressed the need to instill fear of God in academies, be disciplined with the knowledge of God and that students also should put prayer first and follow the scripture.

He observed that the Naga peoples including all the legislators are in a mess because of not following the scripture but being hypocrites and putting God in second place which resulted for trailing in economy, infrastructure development and all other fronts.

The senior legislator also underscored the need to teach the students about discipline, attitude and behavior to groom the personality of a person. Nienu further advised the management of Maverick Academy to remain steadfast in their vision and not deviate from the focus of the objective and not put money first in order to thrive.

Rev. Shan Kikon, senior pastor of Faith Harvest Church, Kohima, encouraged the partners to use the venture to provide the best service and uphold unity and remain focus on their vision. He also offered a prayer for the academy.
