NFR partially cancels and re-schedules trains at Katihar and Lumding division

DIMAPUR — The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is constantly working towards infrastructural development to provide safety and security with added amenities to passengers.

In view to such initiatives, the NFR in an update informed that it has decided to go for non-interlocking for yard renovation works on April 30 and May 1 at Jogbani station of Katihar division while the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Jagiroad station under Lumding division is said to be in progress.

For undertaking the construction works of the Road Over Bridge, a traffic block (train control/cancellation) will be necessary at the Jagiroad station for about 18 days. So, to undertake these infrastructural construction and renovation works, few trains have been proposed to be partially cancelled/short terminated and rescheduled from its present set course of journey, the update further informed.

The following trains will be short terminated/originated from Bathnaha railway station instead of Jogbani station:

Train No. 07553 (Katihar–Jogbani DEMU Special) and train no. 07559 (Katihar–Jogbani DEMU Special) commencing its journey on May 1 will be short terminated at Bathnaha station and will remain partially cancelled between Bathnaha-Jogbani.

Train no. 07554 (Jogbani–Katihar DEMU Special) and train no. 07560 (Jogbani–Katihar DEMU Special) commencing its journey on May 1 will be short originated from Bathnaha station and will remain partially cancelled between Jogbani-Bathnaha.

The following trains will be short terminated/originated from Barahu railway station instead of Lumding station:

Train no. 15769 (Alipurduar–Lumding Intercity Express) scheduled to depart from Alipurduar station on May 1 till the 20th will be short terminated at Barahu station and will remain partially cancelled between Barahu-Lumding stations.

Train no. 15770 (Lumding–Alipurduar Intercity Express) scheduled to depart from Lumding station on May 1 till the 20th will be short originated from Barahu station and will remain partially cancelled between Lumding-Barahu stations.

The following train will be re-scheduled from Mariani railway station on 1st May till 20th May, 2023:

Train no. 15666 (Mariani-Guwahati BG Express) will be re-scheduled at 8:15 am from Mariani station instead of 6:05 am.
