Kohima, Dec. 21 (EMN): Advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha, on Wednesday inaugurated a fire station in Khuzama village under Kohima district.

Speaking on the occasion, Neikha acknowledged the state government led by the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for the guidance and support in approving the fire station in Khuzama. He also acknowledged the advisor of Fire and Emergency Services, SIRD and Relief and Rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak, for introducing the fire station in Khuzama.

He exuded hope that the fire-station would be of great importance not just for Khuzama village but for all Southern Angami areas in Nagaland as well as the neighbouring districts of Manipur state.

Meanwhile, Pohwang Konyak, in his speech, said that Khuzama fire station became the 21st fire station in Nagaland.

Neilasa Sopfü, inspector general of Fire and Emergency Services, appreciated the state government for giving due importance to the department by approving Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services Bill.

On the occasion, Nosazol Charles, state information commissioner, and Zedil Naleo, chairman of Khuzama village council, also delivered short speeches.

Earlier, Mhaphuvi Naleo, pastor of Khuzama Baptist Church (KBC), said a prayer.
