NDPP Phek region holds felicitation programme
The Phek region of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on Tuesday held a felicitation programme in honour of the newly elected legislators from the district at Hotel Japfu in Kohima.
It may be mentioned here that KG Kenye was allotted the portfolio of Power and Parliamentary Affairs minister, while Kudecho Khamo was allotted advisor of Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) and Taxes, and Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, advisor of New and Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
Speaking at the programme, Kenye acknowledged the party leaders for the concerted efforts put in during the election campaign to ensure success of the party. He stated that NDPP-BJP alliance has been placed at a comfortable position to stake the claim for formation of the government. Forcing major challenges ahead, he has sought unity, support and cooperation from party men and women.
Kudecho Khamo, advisor of CAWD and Taxes, has acknowledged God and the people for reposing their faith on them to endure their victory. He thanked the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and all the NDPP workers for allocating them the party tickets to contest in the last election.
Khamo added that the legislators have the responsibilities to bring about changes for improvement in economy and livelihood and strengthen the rural economy. He has called for concerted efforts to work as a team to bring transformation in Phek district in particular and the state.
Nyusietho Nyuthe, advisor of New and Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), has called upon the leaders to put their trust in God and exhibit honesty, hard work and integrity in delivering their service to the people.
Nuzota Swuro, working president of NDPP, has called for unity among the team to face any challenges. He also congratulated the elected legislators on their success.
