NCSU celebrates advent Christmas; best traffic awards conferred
Kohima, Dec. 15 (EMN): The Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) on Tuesday evening organised an advent christmas-cum-felicitation of ‘best traffic award 2020’ at De Oriental in Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor of NCSU, Povotso Lohe said it is the season of joy, faith and love and Christmas is a time for reconciliation between man and God.
“Christmas is more than materialism but to celebrate love and humanity,” he said.
Lohe mainatained that Christmas goes beyond religion stating that people across the world irrespective of religion celebrates the season solemnly.
He observed that the celebration this time would be a different one unlike other years owing to the pandemic ‘yet there is hope and love that is beyond hardships’.
Further, he also urged the members to look beyond the situation that is uncertainty but to look up to God stating that all things are possible though Him.
NCSU president, Pele Khezhie, in his greetings, reminded the members that Christmas is a time for forgiveness. He also encouraged the members to collectively work together.
Dy. SP (Traffic) Kohima, Manom Wallim acknowledged the NCSU for encouraging the traffic personnel yearly by honoring the personnel.
He added that the Christmas season is a season of hope and urged the participants to celebrate in true essence of Christmas as Christians and extended season greetings to the members.
Best traffic award 2020
The annual best traffic award is sponsored by NCSU, which carries a citation and a cash award of INR 10000.
In the male category, the best traffic award 2020 was awarded to Nusutso Dawhuo and in female category it was awarded to Imtikala Imsong in the presence of Kohima Police personnel and NCSU members.
