Nagaland: State Health Helpline functional; 1138 calls received in less than a month

The state nodal officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), Dr. Nyanthung Kikon, on Friday informed that a total of 1138 calls were received through State Health Helpline- 1800 345 0019 from May 7, 2021 till June 3, 2021.

A total of 333 calls were received for doctors- teleconsultation; 120 calls related to counselling; 406 for vaccine-related and 279 for district information, Kikon said at a press conference on Friday.

He added that people of the state also call for various information related standard operating procedure for entry into the state and travel outside the state. He added that the call centre is fully in place.

14% occupancy at Covid Care Centres

Meanwhile, the official also updated about the status of Covid Care Centres in the state. The current occupancy is 14% out of 1332 total beds.

The break-up of current occupancy is: 100% in Wokha district out of 14 beds; Kiphire- 23% out of 13 beds; Dimapur- 21% out of 134 beds; Kohima- 17% out of 738 beds; Phek- 9% out of 79 beds; Mokokchung- 7% out of 82 beds; and Longleng- 5% out of 40 beds.

The remaining districts have nil occupancy, wherein Mon has 30 beds, Peren- 60 beds, Tuensang- 20 beds and Zunheboto- 122 beds.

However, Dr. Kikon informed that the low occupancy at Covid Care Centres is because of people opting for home isolation and home quarantine.
