Nagaland: Nominations open for district and state teacher’s awards 2021

Kohima, June 29 (EMN): Directorate of School Education (DoSE) on Tuesday issued a notification informing about the nominations for district and state teacher’s awards 2021.
Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C informed through the notification that the nomination was meant for teachers serving in both government and private schools following the state curriculum who have contributed towards improvement of quality education through their commitment and industry.
It added that teachers who have also enriched the lives of their students may be nominated for consideration for District/State Teachers Awards 2021.
Administrative officers of respective areas, heads of institutions and NGOs involved in the field of education at village, sub-division and district levels can nominate names of teachers for the awards, it was informed.
It also stated that the nomination forms and eligibility conditions for consideration for the awards were available on the department’s website (https://education.nagaland.gov.in).
Further, the notification said that teachers serving in government and private schools following the state curriculum with permanent disability or suffering from terminal ailment or prolonged treatment from natural calamity of devastating nature, for which grant or relief was not received from any other sources, to apply for the grant of financial assistance in the prescribed format available on the department’s website.
The nomination forms and applications for financial assistance should be submitted to the respective district education office (DEO) or sub-divisional education office (SDEO) establishments by July 16 (last date of form submission).
