Statehood Day to be live-streamed
Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): The state Home department informed that the state-level function for celebration of the 60th Statehood Day to be held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima, on December 1, would be live-streamed on the MyGovNagaland’s YouTube channel from 8:45 am onwards. Interested viewers could watch the event online on YouTube and Facebook by visiting the MyGovNagaland page or by directly clicking on https://youtu.be/SLu-RN93tQc, informed an official bulletin.
Lasumi view point inaugurated
Kohima, Nov. 29 (EMN): Lasumi view point at Teprebe was inaugurated and dedicated to the public on November 26 by Welete Kapfo, personal secretary to the minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs. Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, pastor of Lasumi Baptist Church, performed the act of blessing, while Wekhrope Marhu delivered the welcome address and Pretso-u Pradia presented a song. The programme was chaired by Nyitso Therie, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Tekulo Kreo and concluded with a benediction said by Wetsope Kromi, pastor of CRC Lasumi.
Medical camp held in Terogvunyu village
Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): Nagaland Forest Management Project, Divisional Management Unit, Kohima, along with Dr. Anshida K, MD Ophthalmology at AIIMS, Delhi, organised a one-day free health camp in Terogvunyu village under Tseminyu district on November 27. During the camp, the villagers availed facilities such as eye check-up, blood pressure, sugar-level test and arthritis along with free medicines and prescriptions. Altogether, 45 people availed the services from the health camp, an update stated.
SBI Guwahati circle gets new CGM
Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): Vincent Menachery Devassy has taken charge as chief general manager (CGM), State Bank of India, Guwahati circle, covering all seven Northeastern states on Tuesday. A trainee officer of 1992 batch, Devassy has held various important assignments in the bank, an update stated. Before he took over the charge of Guwahati circle of SBI, he was heading the Anytime Channels of the bank at corporate centre, Mumbai, which manages ATM network, Swayam kiosks, Green Channel counter and cheque deposit kiosks of the bank.
