NSCN/GPRN conveys Milei Ngi greetings

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): The NSCN/GPRN (Akato Chophi) has conveyed festive greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of ‘Milei Ngi,’ a festival of purification and which showcases young boys and girls dressed in traditional attires and performing traditional dances. “May this occasion also bring about strong bond between Nagas and to step together into the future in solidarity and unity,” the NSCN stated.

ABCC holds prayer programme for candidates contesting election

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): The Angami Baptist Church Council, Clean Election core Committee (ABCC CEMCC) held a special prayer for all the Angami candidates contesting the upcoming general elections. This event was held at Rivenburg Memorial Hall, Mission Compound at 4pm on February 14. All the ordained ministers under the council were invited to offer blessings upon them, an update stated. Out of 15 candidates, 11 attended the service. Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo, Executive Director, ABCC exhorted the congregation with the Word of God.

CEO informs political parties on star campaigners

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): In the run up to the upcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, General Election 2023, the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) has informed all the political party presidents to submit the list of their star campaigners. As of now 11 political parties have submitted a list of 299 star campaigners and their name list are available with the CEO’s office. The number of star campaigners of political parties are BJP-40; NDPP-40; NPF-40; NPP-40; INC-37;  NEDF-20; JD (U)-20;RJD-20; NCP-18; LJP (Ram vilas)-15 and RPP-nine.

Naiba launches poll campaign in Tobu AC

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): Lok Janshakti Party (RV) candidate from 55 Tobu assembly constituency, Naiba Konyak, kick-started his election campaign on February 6 at Tobu headquarters.

 The campaign was attended by “thousands of supporters, former BJP president Tobu, BJP youth president Tobu, Nyakba, former MLA and host of party workers,” an update stated.

Naiba in his address asked to share a common goal, which is to transform Tobu.

Conveying gratitude to the people for their support, Naiba also shared that his vision is for the uplift of youth, farmers, destitute women, road maintenance and over all infrastructure development of Tobu area.

SE dept. cautions schools on bogus organisation

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): The Department of School Education has informed that an organisation bearing email ID contact@skillkiclass.com is defrauding schools by offering skill development courses at subsidised rates/MSPs in the name of PMO Compliance. All schools across India are being targeted by the said organisation, a DIPR report stated. “In this regard, it is clarified that the Ministry of Education, Government of India, or the Department of School Education, Nagaland has not issued any such directives,” it stated.  The department cautioned heads of all schools (government/private) not to fall prey to such emails from fraudsters. “Further, if any school received such emails and made payment, the matter may be immediately reported to School Education Directorate for initiating necessary action against the fraudsters as per law,” it stated.
