DC Kohima informs on draft list
Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): The deputy commissioner and district election officer of Kohima, Shanavas C, informed all the stakeholders that the draft list in connection with the rationalisation of polling stations under Kohima district has been prepared and made available for inspection on the notice board of the Election Branch. The DC and DEO further informed to lodge any objection or suggestion in written to the concerned office on or before September 26.
NBSE convenes online meeting
Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has convened an online meeting of all the head of registered institutions on September 23 at 2 pm for filling up of individual application form (IAF/AF) for HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2023. NBSE has informed all the head of institutions to attend the meeting with the staff in-charge of form submission. It stated that the meeting ID and passcode would be shared later in the district WhatsApp groups.
Prof. Patnaik appointed new VC of NU
Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): Consequent upon the appointment of vice chancellor of Nagaland University (NU) by the President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor, Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik has assumed the office of the vice-chancellor of Nagaland University on September 15. According to an update, Prof. Patnaik had served as pro-vice chancellor in Mizoram University prior to his joining Nagaland University.
Poshan Maah rally held in Mon
Dimapur, Sep. 20(EMN): The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Wangkhao Government College, on September 20, conducted a Rashtriya Poshan Maah rally, which started from District Hospital junction till Mon town local ground to spread awareness on the theme ‘Education with nutrition.’ An update informed that the target audience of the rally included children below six years, adolescent girls, pregnant mothers and lactating mothers. The rally was attended by the NSS programme officers, Manwang Konyak, and Manlee Konyak.
NSCN (IM) condoles demise of cadres
Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of ‘Sergeant’ Solan Horam from Kachai Village under Wung Tangkhul Region, who passed away on September 16 due to prolonged illness. It stated that Horam joined the Naga army on March 9, 2013. NSCN (IM) also condoled the demise of its leacy Zakato Achumi from Ghoshito village under Sumi Region, who passed away on the September 17, due to prolonged illness. He joined the Naga National service in 2005. “Both of them served with loyalty and dedication and their tireless service rendered to the nation till their last breath shall be cherished,” it stated.
