Nagaland Legislative Assembly: Departments lay annual reports on day-3

Kohima, Feb. 16 (EMN): Various departments and committee reports were laid on the table of the house on the third day of the 7th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA)

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday presented the annual administrative reports of the following departments for the year 2020-21: Department of Under Developed Areas (Duda), Sericulture, Women Resource Development, Art and Culture, Electrical Inspectorate, Food and Civil Supplies, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and Water Resources.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, who is also the minister in-charge of Home, Road and Bridges, presented the annual administrative report of the Home department 2020-2021.

The minister for Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye, presented the annual administrative reports of the department of Agriculture and department of Cooperation.

Presentation of Assembly Committee Reports

Chairman of the committee on Public undertakings, Mhathung Yanthan presented before the House, the 94th, 95th and 99th reports on the examination of the audit paragraphs that appeared in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the years 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, relating to the Nagaland Industrial Corporation Ltd. (NIDC) under the department of Industries and Commerce.

He also presented the 96th report on the examination of the audit paragraphs that appeared in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the years 2011-2016 pertaining to the Nagaland Industrial Raw Materials Supply Corporation Limited (NIRMSC) under the department of Industries and Commerce. He presented the 97th and 98th reports on the examination of the audit paragraphs that appeared in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 relating to the Nagaland Hotels Limited (NHL) under the department of Industries and Commerce.

Yanthan also presented to the House the 100th report on the action taken by the government on the observations and recommendations made in the 84th report of the committee on the Public Undertakings on the examination of the audit paragraphs that appeared in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2011-2012 pertaining to the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Llimited (NSMDC) under the department of Geology and Mining.

Further, the chairman presented the 101st report of the committee on Public Undertakings on the recommendations made by the committee in the context of its observations relating to the functioning of the NH Ltd. NHHDC Ltd. NIRMSC Ltd. and NIDC Ltd. under the department of Industries and Commerce and the NSMDC Ltd. under the department of Geology and Mining.
