Nagaland Governor visits RCC construction site

Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi visited the construction site of the Regional Convention Centre (RCC) at NEZCC Complex in Dimapur on May 11 and urged the contractor and the officials to complete the work within the stipulated time.

It was during the tenure of  the then Governor, PB Acharya, the Regional Convention Centre foundation was laid  in order to facilitate and honour eminent personalities and achievers from the eight North Eastern States. The construction of the RCC started in September 2016 but due to the pandemic, the progress was delayed and was extended till December 2022, a DIPR report stated.

It mentioned that the three-storeyed building would have a main theatre with a seating capacity of 2000 people, a small theatre with 300 seating capacity, a 250 seat capacity conference hall and one hallway as ‘Hall of Fame.’

After visiting the construction site, the Governor left for Kohima.
