DIMAPUR — On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day celebration, Governor La. Ganesan presented various awards during the ceremony at the Parade Ground, Secretariat Plaza in Kohima, on Friday, according to a DIPR report.
In recognition of their distinguished services, Rupin Sharma, Director General of Police, Nagaland, was awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (Police), and Medozhalie Pienyu, Deputy Commandant General of Home Guards and Civil Defence, received the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (Home Guards and Civil Defence).
The Police Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded to three police personnel: Peter Shuya Angami, SDPO Nagaland; Toshimongba Imchen, ABSI; and Archer Phyobemo, ABSI.
Kathyinla, EAC Noklak; Meripeni, Additional State Protocol Officer, Home department (GAB II); and Vikashe Chuse, Dy. SP Nagaland (Lokayukta), were awarded the Governor’s Award, announced earlier on Independence Day 2023.
Dr. Sentitula, Divisional Forest Officer, Mokokchung, was announced as the awardee for the Governor’s Gold Medal, while Changsang, under Secretary IDAN; C Chilliam Khiam, ASI Women Police Station, Tuensang; Limitsung Sangtam, district coordinator, PMMVY Kiphire; Puleno Neikha, Sports Coach Sepaktakraw, Youth Resources and Sports department; Bokavi Achumi, UDA, ADC office, Pughobto; and Ruyoseyi, office peon, Directorate of Agriculture, received the Governor’s Commendation Certificate.
Etsimongo Nugullie, retired DIG (Range), Mokokchung, and Imcharenla, retired DIG NAP Kohima, were each awarded the President’s Police Medal (PPM) for their distinguished service.
Kilangyanger Walling, DCP Niuland, Israel G Xuvi, Dy. Commandant, Inspector in Charge, STF, and Abel Jonsuo Humtsoe, Inspector (INT), each received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Tulakha, K Sumi, Additional SP and vice principal, NPTS CMD, received the Union Home Minister’s Excellence in Investigation award.
