Kohima, May 26 (EMN): One more returnee from Chennai has been tested positive for Covid-19 at BSL-3 virology laboratory in Kohima on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in Nagaland to four so far.
This was informed by state’s Health minister S Pangnyu Phom on Tuesday morning.
“Another returnee from Chennai has been tested #Covid-19 positive at Kohima. With this, we have four active cases. Contact tracing are being activated,” he tweeted.
The announcement came a day after the state recorded its first Covid-19 case as three persons, all returnees from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, were tested positive for the virus.
The first three patients — two from Dimapur and one from Kohima — are currently undergoing treatment at their respective district Covid-19 hospitals — District Hospital Dimapur and Ayushman, Chedema.
