- KOHIMA — The Nagaland Cabinet order
regularising 147 contractual assistant professors and librarians under Higher
Education department is expected to be revoked officially on Monday.
- The Combined Technical Association Nagaland (CTAN) and the Nagaland
NET Qualified Forum (NNQF) made this statement after a meeting with the Minister
for Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along, at his official residence in Kohima
on Saturday.
- “The following points were agreed upon: Cabinet order for
absorption/regularisation of 147 posts of assistant professors and librarians,
dated 17th December, 2024, to be revoked.
- “The committee formed at the emergency Cabinet meeting on
21st April, 2025, to be dissolved,” they informed.

- The CTAN and the NNQF warned that if the formal written
copies of the revocation order and the committee dissolution documents, as
assured by the minister, are not received by Monday afternoon, they will
escalate the agitation “beyond the level of the previous four days.”
- The protestors had called off their agitation on Thursday
following the minister’s "verbal assurance" to meet their demands.
